I Won't Cry So Fast

By Bhavya Mohta

Behind all the happiness,

I'm hiding a wail.

Behind all the gloominess,

I'm trying not to fail.

Life's getting worse day by day,

But I'm concealing my cry, and on the floor I lay.

People ask me why I don’t share my feelings,

That's probably because they won't make any healings.

Time has passed too fast, I know.

Which has made me broke and low.

I barely realised the importance of them,

It feels like all the leaves have shed, leaving behind a naked stem.

This time watering won't make them regrow,

Even with fertilisers, it would be too slow.

But no!

I won't cry so fast!

Because…

Behind all the happiness,

I'm hiding a wail.

Behind all the gloominess,

I'm trying not to fail.
