I Truth Be Told

When I observe IT from afar, IT appears crystal shimmering clear, IT appears beauteous unbound, it appears perfection unfound,

Cut to close up. IT appears pixilated, distorted and astoundingly unsound…

One colour overlapping the other, boundaries over stepped, no line is straight, no box is square and no circle is round…

IT is such a mess, so diametrical from what I envisaged, such a detour from my known ground…

I move back some and IT shows refinement…I move back some more and IT’s improvement galore. Now I step back for precision and in perfection I am drowned…

I tell you, watch IT from a distance, like you watch a movie, the further the screen the better the view…

Yes, we shed tears in moments of misery, our hearts accelerates at thrilling sequences, our hands clutch the armrest hard when suspense plays its tricks and our passion warms our bodies in the sweetness of innocent romance….

We feel all this but these feelings are but skin deep…we rejoice in each of these feelings, as they touch us and go…

We do not try to change the beginning, nor do we attempt to create a new ending, because we are aware that we cannot… it does not affect us deeply either…neither do we swell with pride…nor do we die of shame…

We just watch, feel and let go.

That’s the way IT should be for us…that is how we should treat IT too…touch and go…

We do not have to be cold but we need not be burning with emotions too…everything in excess is bad, so have I heard, everything in excess is bad, so have I experienced…

Take it as IT comes, go with its flow, love IT, live IT, yet keep yourself at an arm’s length from IT,

If truth be told…IIT’S just your Life, IT’s not you.
