I refuse to fold you in regrets

Still, I refuse to fold you in regrets

I refuse to look at you in anything but light

To feel anything but warmth

To have your hands within mine

At all times

And when they’re not, they’ll be in memory

I refuse to think of you as a spirit lying cold

I refuse to let the best of you turn black and white

Even when you leave

The doorway will always look for you

And so will my eyes

That you’ve gotten lost in a hundred times

The kitchen will call you

To dance again in the moonlight

Still, my world will wait for yours

To reach for it again

Not to collide but to meet briefly

To hold you gently

And to let go of you happily

Still, i refuse to fold you in regrets
