I met a lady

Original Submission by Aaliyah Hoosen

I met a lady dressed in browns & golds

A colour pallet of remark

In my head there it was created, a spark

An entire imagination unfolds

I met a lady in a ballgown, dancing away

Commanding the night & stars

Written about her in many, memoirs

All shoes tattered into the day

I met a lady, so ordinary, dressed in earth

Talking extraordinary things

Her voice, special like a bell, how it rings

& with her existence comes a new birth.
