A Guy

I met a guy, I met a guy.

I met a guy who wore guts

Like a giraffe pattern works.

I met a guy who faked his smiles,

Like children fake their cries.

I met a guy who strutted

Like a grown-up ostrich gait.

I saw him one day while he was

Strolling down the hallway.

He opened the glass door

With courage soaked in his marrow.

"A buzz cut!" I thought,

Only to realize it was the cut-

Cut by the bees buzzing on his bean.

Flabbergasted I was,

By the glance of a buzzed bean.

Vitiligo hair? I wondered,

By glimpse of two pale white bald patches

On the back of his shell-covered walnuts.

What happened? I asked.

“I ran out of charge in the trimmer,

So scissors did the honor,” he replied.

Swallowed my breaths heavily,

Summoning every ounce of courtesy.

But like a milk pouch

Burst beneath a rapid squeeze,

I exploded laughing,

Uncorking my swallowed breath.

I cannot have a siesta,

Picturing his hair as chewed by insecta.

He never cared an iota,

Though people buzzed around him like a fiesta;

No one asked if he was a neurotic neurota,

Nor did he give an affirma if he needs a bite of shawarma.

I was thinking about this guy the other day,

And it fascinated me quite in a different way.

I interpreted the causation of that occasion,

Notions of thoughts conceived in my cerebrum.

I want to thank him for forcing me to receive

Things in a different form of perception.
