I’M TIRED OF LOVING YOU

Why do I miss you so much

It doesn't make sense

Didn't I say we needed a bit of space

And yet it’s my heart that's falling apart

Why can’t I hate you, it’s stupid

Why does my heart still ache for you, its dumb

Why do I allow you to make me feel this way

Like I’m the one who should sway

Like I’m the one who led us astray

And yet I still ponder, still wonder

Why can't you love me

Why can't you see me

Why can't you talk to me

My cries fall on empty ears but funny enough

They're the only ones I wish to pray tell my fears

How come its me who has to contort

To bend

To break to keep us working

How come its my morals that must take a backseat

My preferences being thrown out in a beat

And no it’s just the hugs

And no it’s not just your constant buzz

I love you for you

But you don't love me for me

You love me for who I shifted into for you

Hate

The only word that can describe how I feel towards you

The word that haunts my mind

The way you make me feel

The word that spills when the cats had its fill

HATE HATE HATE HATE

But it use to be

The word that came to mind when I thought of you

The word that constantly wrapped around my mind

The way you made my endorphins spike

The word on the tip of my tongue

Every time we spun

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

But what’s stupid is that I don't hate you

No matter how much I wish it were true

And regardless of how many lies I brew

I will never truly be over you
