I’m sure it will never end

Edgar Katushabe

I miss you in the quiet moments,

when the world falls slient and still.

Your absence has left a vacuum,

That all our sweet memories fail to fill.

I reach for words I cannot send,

Words of longing, sadness and passion.

So I love you in the silence,

Filled with grief I cannot action.

You are every thought that lingers,

each dream that won’t let go.

The ache of what was ruined,

is the only truth I know.

I’m sorry for the wounds I made,

for the hurt I failed to mend.

If only we could start again,

I’m sure it would never end.
