I'm Not Okay... But I'm Okay With It

I might be losing flicker —
but I can see them all a-frayed.
Each day, I do get sicker —
hopeful delusions in what they say.
Their eyes wince, spoken plainly,
“You seem to be doing well?"
The denial screams insanely —
awkward silence, quiet hell.
Asking what with just more whys,
no one has a clue.
Short circuits — a brain that dies…
Needing answers more than I do.
Please, don’t try to fix me,
or fake like it’s not real.
I’m already living free —
move forward with how you feel.
