I'm Jealous

By Aden Maloney

I'm jealous of the blanket that wraps your waist

Of the mirror that gets to see your sleepy and tired face I'm jealous that I can’t stop thinking as I tap this pen

Of how lucky the water is to run down your skin I'm jealous the wind gets to hear your voice

Singing all the songs of your choice And how the sun gets to kiss those lips Causing me to lose my grip

From everything I can’t do

So, I'm jealous of time having to wait for you
