I Love To Sit In Silence...

By Arvind Khadse

I love to sit in silence,

Beneath the shady tree,

Watch the squirrel gather nuts,

Before the winter freeze,

I love to sit in silence,

And feel the ocean breeze,

Watch the mountain dancing grass,

Forming waves of silver crease,

I love to sit in silence,

And hear the buzzing bees,

Watch the herds grazing too far,

Neck bells whistling to tease,

I love to sit in silence,

And hear the peacock cry,

Watch cotton clouds of various shapes,

Sailing up high in the sky,

I love to sit in silence,

And hear the streams water sing,

Watch faraway train engine smoke,

Disappear behind mountain strings,

I love to sit in silence,

And smell wildflower scent,

Watch the spiral dry stone fence,

Big rocks hanging like tents,

I love to sit in silence

And Hear the horn of passing ships,

Watch the trawlers riding waves,

From the lighthouse of rocky cliff,

I love to sit in silence,

And Hear chirping birds flying home,

Watch behind the one tree hill,

Violet pink sky is covering dome,

I love to sit in silence,

As the day keeps losing light,

And watch the sky with Twinkling stars,

As twilight takes shades of night,

I love to sit in silence,

Looking up the starry sky,

Waiting for one lose star to fall,

To make a wish before I die,
