I’ll Write You a Poem

You said you’ve never been written about

But darling, open my heart and look around.

Everyone who knows me knows your name

And oh god, I bet my diary finds me so cheesy and lame.

You said you've never been written about

But I could write a book alone on how you sound.

You’ve clearly never read the poems I’ve written longingly.

They’d make you realize just how many times you’ve been immortalized by me.

You said you’ve never been written about

But I hope this poem leaves no room for doubts.
