It's not chaos but quite

Like sitting in the darkness

I can see a hint of light

It holds my hand and helps me break free from these walls

Cradling not just my body but bruised stories it holds

I hope when love finds me next

It doesn't knock loud or demand a stage

But quietly enters through cracks,

The ones that I've stopped trying to cage

It understands the patience in waiting and courage in hope

Like waves that roam the open sea

But always find their way back home
