There's a lot I need to change

Especially the way I preserve my thoughts

I have missed all the interpretations my failed reality once spat on the corner of my lip

Only regret tirelessly haunts you if you are not prepared to eventually destroy the relationships you believed were infinite

The chilled manager offers public recognition yet caps your commissions

The childhood friend you swear has your back yet carves his initials on another's soul mate

The cherished uncle who undermines your masculinity and undresses your dreams at the dinner table

A humiliation ritual both families are fond of
