I Fell In Love

I fell in love –

on a day unlike any other,

with clouds of adoration

scudding through the sky,

playing hide and go seek

with a noonday sun.

I fell in love –

on an evening unlike any other,

where the sky painted me

some beautiful fairytales,

with splashes of yellows and reds,

and oranges and purples galore.

I fell in love –

on a night unlike any other,

where she was bathed in white

and dipped in moonlight,

with stars threading the sky

like twinkling fairy lights.

I fell in love –

in a moment unlike any other,

where time didn’t stand still,

yet it felt like it,

when I held hands with Life,

with my heart on my sleeve.

I fell in love.
