I Can And I Cannot

I can write poems about making you mine,

But I cannot make it come true,

So are you willing to wait for the right time?

Or should I give up on you?

I can keep our memories safe in my heart,

But I cannot make those moments rewind,

So are you willing to make more memories and restart?

Or should I be hopeless and make up my mind?

I can try to become a better person for you,

But I cannot make you want me,

So are you willing to give us a chance new?

Or should I turn back and let you be?

I can wait for the right time forever,

But I cannot make you wait too,

So are you willing to stand by to be in each other’s every endeavour?

Or should I throw away my love so true?

I can admire you unconditionally till the end,

But I cannot make you admire me,

So are you willing to restart as my friend?

Or should I return from the dead end that I see?

I can look at you in the moon each night,

But I cannot make the moon look at me,

So are you willing to heal my heart and solve every fight?

Or should I throw away my broken heart and it’s debris?
