I Am Sherlock Holmes
By Rishika Rathore
They call me Sherlock Holmes. I seek the perpetrators’ attitude with my aptitude. I roam like I am out there to give meaning to the asteroids circumambulating around unknown celestials!
I often wonder about how the cities are running cold while sins await its doom. In response, streets are shielding themselves by establishing frost on them, against the so-called ‘unnatural cold heartedness of the sinners’.
Parallely hopes of victims are strengthening every latitude of this ‘harsh world with its peculiar algorithms’. The gory and malice film of the crimes is making me change its reels. It parks the question in my mind, is horror fighting with fear too? Or the definitions are just wearing masks, to dilute the conduct of harsh realities.
Are ‘crime and criminals’ just the variants of victims echoing their existence in destruction.Or the ‘victim and victimhood’ just manipulations of holy details turning fragile under the echoes of harsh actions.
The ‘truth’ which lies in between is the profession the world tags me with. But I am just an anonymous function which is ‘predicting the past and reigning the future under the savage work ethics which are binded by the detective hood’.
