I am Introvert but why

Yes, I'm an introvert... But why?

Tired of being scanned by judgemental eyes,

Afraid of being fed by sugarcoated lies,

Hesitant to move out of my comfort zone,

To be simply left behind once again, all alone,

I'm boring is what I've been told,

They believe my mentality is old,

I am not someone who is pretty liked,

With a beautiful face and some hair spiked,

I can count my friends without any pain,

And yet afraid of being ditched once again,

I have no plans about the next weekend,

But for loved ones, all the time I can spend,

I am someone who isn't so 'cool',

Only because I'm called an emotional fool,

I care a bit too much and think a lot,

To be misunderstood as a sadist crack pot.

Yes, I may not be one of those swagger guys,

My heart isn't filled with greed and lies,

I can't be so materialistic or so mean,

Or fake something I've never been,

My emotions for you maybe insanity,

But I believe in the essence of humanity,

I may not be fun to be around,

But I care to keep people safe and sound,

Yes, I may not be your all night party friend,

But with you I shall stay right till the end,

Yes, I may not conform with your lifestyle,

Cause I believe in deep talks while walking a mile,

And I don't need drugs or booze to feel high,

Yes, I'm an introvert, still wonder why?
