Human Drama

The story of human evolution consisting of billions of souls echoing down the

millennia is to experience life in all its colours and potential. To be a human

being is to be at the centre of the universe and discover what it means to be

human, the greatest wonderment in the world. Our first and foremost interaction

was with nature; we evolved ourselves learning to domesticate plants and

animals for food being settlers in a place. Slowly, we conquered the animal

kingdom with our tiny brains establishing human kingdom on the earth.

We turned into social animals building complex communities and evolved with

astonishing vocal ability creating sounds that represented not just objects, but

also concepts. We learnt to express ideas weaving together common narratives

about who we are and how we should live by charging with the pace of change.

With the industrial and digital revolution, the world shrank into a global village.

Our dreams and goals turned into infinite stream of ones and zeros reflecting

throughout the cyber space. We stand extending ourselves across the world as

human Gods with the power of either creating life or destroying our own planet.

The whole of human history is like an unlimited drama, and each one of us has

a unique role to play. In this unlimited drama of life, there is no other actor, no

other soul who has the ability or knowledge to play one’s own part. Out of six

and a half billion actors on stage none can play your role better than you. Each

has his or her own beauty and very specific purpose. We often marvel at the

number and variety of roles we have to play every day. From the moment we

wake up, our actions begin and so we become the actors. If people were exactly

the same there would be no growth. There would be nothing new to stimulate

our intellects and inspire us towards deeper thinking.

When we watch a movie, we begin to enjoy the roles of every character. We

know that every scene and role is fictitious, yet as spectators, we never stop to

react, judge the script or plot, the performance and effort of the actors. We are

always with our own conclusions. We immerse so much by positioning

ourselves in some roles which move us emotionally and appear to have intimacy

with our own life. Some more roles merely appear to be illusive with little

reality.

Every scene in the human drama is worth pondering, but oftentimes, many

remain ignorant of their own acts designing their roles and character. One’s own

actions, one feels either over superior or inferior about, tend to be one’s psychic

disorder preventing to accept or treat those better than oneself with respect and

rectitude. For the selfish, one’s need is quite dire and important to fulfil, but

other's need seems petty and futile; for the belligerent, one’s irresponsibility

feels like a big adjustment, but other's responsibility seems quite fatuous; for the

greedy, one’s own greediness is more genuine and purposeful, but other's

genuineness seems covetous; for the egotist, one’s own identity is more

important and productive, but other's identity seems nugatory and unproductive.

This neurological creation, connection, catharsis and reaction is so wondrous

that every imaginary thing begins to appear real. So is life.

The things we are attached to, the people we love, the ones we call ours, the

ones we meet, the sweet bitter conditions that excite or shake us - all the series

of events that happened or happening are just a figment of our imagination.

The question is, "Do they really exist?" We all love to live our lives, but we are

equally afraid of living. we exactly function alike, i.e., with our emotions - your

ego hurting me and my ego hurting you; lies, insults, blames, envies, enmity,

regrets...all these illusions exist in our minds as a reality. We, the actors of this

planet are so insecure to bid an adieu to these illusions. So, we have created the

tragedy of depression and death that frightens us now and then to live life to the

best. This is what is thrilling in the theatrical drama set on the planet of the earth

surrounded by sky, mountains, oceans, rivers, forests, birds, flora and fauna and

people..."Are they just an illusion or a reality"??? However, we are here to

discover...still and all, this remains to be never ending research.

Often, we may be awestruck, whether this neurological creation ever has an

end!!!

Human evolution seems different to everyone based on how one’s own life

appears. It’s more of personality improvement paradigm which

requires exploration and experimentation with the Self driven by a powerful

inner urge to transform. When we look in a mirror we see a reflection of our

physical form. The mirror is perfect so we see what appears to be a true

reflection of our face and body, but it is not a true and perfect reflection because

it lacks the dimension of depth. However, our traits and tendencies add that

dimension on the screen of our mind. When you look at a reflection of yours in

the mirror of another person you can never get a true reflection of yourself as

the mirror is less than perfect. What comes back is what the other person sees in

you. A more accurate reflection of yours in that moment can be found in how

you see them. You try to see them not as they are but as you are. How and what

you see in them is a reflection of what you are in that moment.

In a sense we are only seeing and describing ourselves. Everything we see is a

reflection of ourselves. When two people meet and look in the mirror of the

other what they see and feel is simply an utter confusion. There’s an inner

conflict between three self-images – how you think others see you; how you

want others to see you; how you actually see yourself at that moment. On the

other hand, when you meet some who do not think of how others see them, who

do not think of how they would like others to see them, but who are entirely

comfortable in and as they are at that moment, you feel at ease in their presence

with little chaos. The power of their ease may induce the same in you for a

while at least, but after a while, you may become uneasy again because they are

not confirming as to how you want them to perceive you.

All inanimate objects just are as they are, empty, meaningless shapes until we

bring their image into our minds and invest them with meaning. Animate

objects like flowers, trees, are as they are, and as they do. What they do is grow

and decay, but we are the conscious beings born with the power to think and do,

which means we are and we do according to how we see ourselves. If we do not

see ourselves as anything, if our self-concept is non-existent, we are what is

known as completely innocent. The most powerful instrument that we possess is

thought power which is more powerful than a nuclear weapon. Our entire world

has been created by our thoughts. The world is a variety show and the role of

each one is different. Hence, we are what we think!

Each individual plays a unique role, contributing to the overall unfolding of the

drama. Whether as a leader, a follower, a hero, or a villain, every person is a

protagonist in their own story, shaping the narrative through their thoughts,

words, and actions. Yet, it is not merely our individual roles that define us but

the collective roles we play as members of society. From the rise and fall of

empires to the revolutions that have reshaped societies, every epoch is marked

by the collective thoughts and actions of its inhabitants. The Freedom

Movements, the Industrial Revolution, the Civil Rights Movement, the

Enlightenment, — each represents a chapter in the ongoing saga of human

evolution.

Yet, for all our progress and achievements, the human drama is also fraught

with conflict and suffering. Wars, oppression, inequality—these are the

shadows that haunt our collective consciousness, reminders of the darker

aspects of human nature. The thoughts that have propelled us to great heights

have also led us astray, ensnaring us in cycles of violence and despair.

Everything is a wonder to behold, we behold the world in our being, but we do

not lose our ‘Self’ in the world that is in our being. When innocence is lost it

means we have lost ourselves in the world, which is really in us! We are not

aware of this inner chaos, but we begin to think and act from an illusory self,

and then project the same illusion into the world. It means we make the world;

we create the world in our consciousness based on the way we think and

perceive ourselves. Hence, in trying to create the world, to sustain the reality of

creation is what is our purpose and evolution. We have to think beyond

ourselves, but as a species for the evolution of our body and soul.

Another key aspect of the human drama is the drama of relationships. We are

social beings, wired for connection and belonging. Our lives are intertwined

with those of others, as we navigate the complexities of friendship, family, love,

and loss. Relationships can bring us joy, fulfilment, and meaning, but they can

also be sources of conflict, heartache, and betrayal.

Central to the drama of relationships is the drama of identity. We grapple with

questions of who we are and where we come from. Our sense of self is shaped

by a myriad of factors – our genetics, upbringing, cultural heritage, and personal

experiences. Yet, beneath these layers of identity lies a deeper sense of

connection – a shared humanity that transcends boundaries of race, religion, and

nationality.

The human drama is an evidence to the power of thought to shape our world.

From the heights of inspiration to the depths of despair, our thoughts have the

power to uplift or oppress, to create or destroy. As citizens, activists, and

change makers, we have the power to influence the course of history, to shape

the world according to our highest ideals and aspirations. It is through

collaboration and cooperation that we can overcome the challenges that

confront us, transcending the limitations of ego and embracing the

interconnectedness of all life. As we navigate the complexities of existence, we

must remember the profound responsibility that comes with our capacity for

thought, using it wisely and compassionately to usher in a new era of peace,

prosperity, and understanding for all beings.

As we continue to navigate the ups and downs of the human drama, let us strive

to harness the power of thought for the greater good, to create a world that

reflects the best of what it means to be human which is the ultimate quest for

purpose and meaning. We yearn for significance, for our lives to have meaning

beyond mere existence. This quest drives us to explore the depths of human

potential, to seek out new experiences, and to leave a lasting legacy for future

generations.
