How The World Remembers Me

How easy was it for them to forget,

All those good deeds I did,

Remembering me just by my flaws,

And the words I did not heed.

Applauding not the thousand smiles,

But loathing my sole frown,

Minding not the heights I rose,

Yet grudging my single step down.

Remembering me not for the sacrifices,

For their smiles I make,

Just taunting me forever,

For that single harmless mistake.
