How Strange

How strange it is to be anything at all

How strange to be more than what we desire

How long before we realize

We flourished from our very own fires.

The flames we have within our souls

The heat of passion we feel

That's the flame with all the power

The flame we ourselves can control.

I am a phoenix rising from these ashes

Rising stronger than ever before

My fire made me and now i see

It's nothing strange at all!!
