How Can You?!

By Nehida Parayil

How can you say you are prime,

When all you do is unspeakable crime.

How can you deserve power,

When all you do is stripping it from its rightful owners.

How can you say you care,

When all you do is scare.

How can you say you love,

When all you do is destroy.

How can you say you are above,

When you look down on same.

Do you not know,

In the end we return to earth.

Where all differences cease to exist,

Only your actions will speak of you.

Why do you seek prime,

If not to stop crime.

Why do you seek power,

If not to give to the rightful owners.

Why do you scare,

When you could care.

Why do you destroy,

When you could love.

Why do you look down,

When all are the same.

Things can come and go,

Feelings stay for better or worse.

Why pursue things that can undo you,

When feelings can make or break ,

The human so scarce in you.

My home, land and family,

You took without mercy,

You caused all this misery.

When the peoples blood boil,

Tears running down,

As hearts coil.

Their minds lose hope,

And bodies flail and pile,

Under the rubble's and tiles,

Felled by your mindless strikes.

Don't look around seeking support,

For all those who you should've cared ,

Was lost amidst your self-absorbed rapport.

What you have done,

Think if it's right.

Nothing can be done,

To replace the innocent lives undone.

For that you will answer,

Not with reasons unreasonable,

But with your own lost future.
