How 2B Happie - 5

By Karuna Kochar

You heard me right!

We all have days when we just want to hate everyone and everything. Things do go wrong and they will! We cant stop that from happening but heres what we can do to ensure it doesn’t impact our happiness in the long run – Set a timer!

Depending on what you go through give yourself time to whine. Crying, whining and complaining are very important aspects of relieving emotional stress. Every organ in our body has a system to cleanse itself, why shouldn’t our mind?

Although beware – while crying and whining is an important aspect of healing, overdoing it is detrimental to health and life. Set time aside, set an alarm if you must, tell yourself this is all the time I have to whine and then no matter what I will move on! Stick to it and do not revisit the situation again.

As hard as it sounds to achieve this, you must attempt it whole-heartedly before you give up.

The first few times may feel stupid but soon enough you will notice that giving yourself time to grumble will ensure you don’t have super human expectations from your mind, at the same time it ensures that you put a time limit to how much you let yourself drown in this feeling. It also gives you the confidence that once this time is over, you will have the ability to get up and grow beyond!

So here it is, indulge but keep it limited. Don’t waste your life over one person, one incident or one situation, its never worth it!
