I sometimes forget,

You ain't there anymore.

In me I have suppressed

All what you have experienced.

In me I regret

All what you endured.

I don't miss you much,

Just in rare moments,

When I can't remember

When I can't resolve

When my mind's turning off

When my heart and hands tremble.

Then it strikes, what you'd have done.

I smile and bow

Agree in the know

But then I don't follow

Because then I remember

You ain't there anymore.

I didn't kill you,

Somewhere you are hostage

There you must stay

Because this world ain't worth

Being your stage!

Stay there for a while longer

Till this me breathes

I'll handle the world on your behalf.

It's alright what's been done, I do forgive you

But now be where you belong,

My dearest old me,

In the prologue!
