Horrors of War

The sky is on fire,

The lands are washed with blood.

Lone cries fill the air,

Lost tears form a flood.

When the war is over

When the gods go home,

In the smoke and destruction,

The lost souls roam.

The sky is on fire,

The lands are filled with pain.

Loved ones are long gone,

And hopes wash away in rain.

Mounds of severed limbs

All litter the battlefield,

No little leaf sprouts,

No mouths are left to feed.

The sky is on fire,

The lands freeze over with death.
