Hopeless, Hopeful, Healing

I’m a hopeless romantic,

Who fears not knowing who to love,

But lives every day knowing how to,

And hoping it will be enough.

You’re a hopeful romantic,

Who knows how to love,

But fears not knowing who to,

And live hoping they’ll find you.

I’m a tainted soul,

That healed her pain through your smile,

And found the freedom I so craved,

In the roses that gave way to a gentle kiss.

You’re a broken soul,

That soothed his throbbing scars with my eyes,

And lived the dream you wished for,

In the hours that melted into the night sky.
