Wilted Petals

In my journal, a heart like withered rose,

A tale so tragic, our story chose.

I waited in silence, hopeful and yearning,

Yet, you never arrived, the flame kept burning.

Now I drift, a lifeless fish at sea,

Love’s current lost, where once we used to be.
