Holding Back

Holding back tears in the classroom because you don't want to appear weak,

Holding back your laugh because you don't want to appear ugly.

Holding back saying I love you because you don't want to seem cheap,

Holding back your care because who wants a creep?

Why do we hold back everything that makes us human,

And why hide these emotions and show them to none?
