Hit Snooze…

The 24 hour countdown has begun,

The Monday morning you've been dreading,

5 more minutes to home run,

Hit snooze...

Need to finally begin.

Drink enough water - be awake,

The news is on - switch it off,

What a terrible mistake.

Hit snooze...

Thankfully your jobs not at stake.

Aeroplanes no more circling overhead,

The to-do list overpowered,

Time is winning - you've got to get ahead.

Hit snooze...

Introspecting so hard laying on your bed.

Imagining the world beyond,

The confines of home,

Reconnecting with family - the missing bond.

Hit snooze...

Has it really been that long? Already dawn!
