History’s Hiccups

By Riddhi Kundu

History’s rolling, let’s dive in deep,

From the Big Bang boom to the printing press leap.

Slavery ended, farmhand took the lead,

Industrial Revolution, a new world indeed.

Women fought for votes, civil rights planted the seed.

Penicillin discovered and healed the pain,

WW2 ended, peace broke the chain.

Galileo, Newton, Einstein, genius combined,

Then came the ‘90s, the internet redefined.

India divided, but freedom found it’s way,

UAE rose strong, in ’71 they made their play.

History’s a journey, lessons untold,

From the past to the future, it’s pure gold.

We rise, we stumble, but we stand tall,

Looking back at it all, we can break down the wall.

Space race kicked off, rockets in the sky,

Moon landing moments, reaching way up high.

9/11 hit hard, the world in shock,

Russia and Ukraine, the battle won’t stop.

Tsunami hit hard, waves took control,

COVID spread fast, but we still stand bold.

Paris Agreement, fight for the Earth,

Artemis to the stars, a new space rebirth.
