Highs and lows

Though the highs and lows-

Support you never failed to show .

Simpler plain and Crooked roads

Doesn't matter, we walk

Patches me up when I feel torn

My interests you tell me to keep on

Writing poems or sing songs,

through the pages I hold dear

that my heart bleeds on.

Through the highs and lows-

One of the days I look forward

Is where we'd meet at coffee stalls

Ponder about life

Talk about how fast time flies by

My mob, my crew, my gang,

Stuck up friends

I met through my interest

or institutions attended.

This Pilgrim's grateful to have you

on his path to penitence.

Through the highs and lows-

Would have never met you all

If not for my hobbies and peddling

Probably none to share my skittish side

or absolutely my witty rhymes with.

So I'm on a path to see how far this brings me

The hunter's on a road to collect his bounty,

now he's pacing and he wont accept defeat.

Through the highs and lows-

The Reoccurring theme's confusion.

He Doesn't know if it'll work,

Will never, if he doesn't put in work

Second thoughts tend to come across

Expressing through words,

telling stories of my days,

ranging from best to worst.

Trying to paint colour

to his black and white world.

Through the highs and lows-

Acknowledging that

A times I can be distant.

Unhealthy practices,

Putting everyone arms length

That's a story for another day

But keep in mind I'm a single child,

never a soul by my side.

Bad habits, I dont justify.

Just trying to hear and see the signs,

pave my own tangling path.

Through the intertwining rhymes I write

connected through like a grapevine.

And perhaps in due time

My word will be heard by the right mind.

Who am i kidding? I digress.

Ironic the pretentious poet

is bad at expressing.

Just wanted to add the fact-

I'm always grateful you have my back;

Never question cause 'True' is I appreciate you

You all are an unending stream of inspiration.

So it's only right this wave heads toward the storm

Suring out to a new and better rare form.
