Hide N Seek At Dusk

Hide n seek at dusk 

Do the waves capture the sunrays 

Or do the fading hues of the sunset

Embrace the white frothy tides 

Are these reflections 

Or just another illusion 

I want to dive into the truth 

I want to see through reality

I want to dig out the pearls 

Embedded in the depths of morality

I want to fly to the heights

I want to soar to freedom 

I want to hear the echo of laughter 

From the valleys of abandon 

Why is joy so elusive 

Why is peace so dangerous 

Why is love overwhelming 

Why is the horizon so reachable 

And yet beyond imagination 

Nature is glorious 

Yet so ferocious 

In the lashing of the waves 

Against the solid rocks 

Absorbing the turbulent anger

In concrete silence 

Hide n seek at dusk 

Of questions wanting to be asked 

Of answers wanting to be told 

Of feelings yet to be discovered 

An illusion lying in wait to unfold
