Hidden - Hated by the World

Hidden behind the literal closet,

they were never afraid to show that -

They love each other, but are afraid of

the world, which would cruelly judge them.

Shades thrown by the near and dear,

Cruelty in their eyes makes them fear.

Even a handshake is considered PDA.

They try to avoid even the slightest suspicions.

The law then benefited in favor.

Of all the genders, sexualities, proving equality,

Demanding their love to be celebrated,

Adored and cherished, not in secret, just all out.

Now the hand holding does not matter.

They were just friends, pals, brothers, or mates.

They were proud and brave to come out.

And hold out their hands for their beloveds.

The lawful love feels fresh,

blossomed with a great effort,

Including the sacrifices of numerous,

Love never stopped believing.
