Hey, Little Bird

By Lovely Joy Galez

She is a bird learning to fly,

She tried so hard and fall apart,

Yet, she never stops from trying

Until she touches the sky

There was bream of tears

Present in her eyes,

Stars shine upon looking at the skies

Praying, she said,

No matter how I tried

I still couldn’t fly high,

No matter how I lifted my wings high

It pulls me back to the ground,

Crumpled my heart

And made my soul tearing apart,

But it will never stop me from trying

This spirit of hawk

I will soar high

No matter how hard it is to try,

I'm spreading my wings up high.
