Her Struggle With The Lies

By Tanu Saini

He said that he loved her, but she never felt like that

Indeed, the candle was burned, how else could it melt like that?

He made her believe in the beauty of dreams and ended up being a nightmare

He loved being with her but whenever she needed, he wasn't there.

Maybe her mind knew that she wasn't the only one,

But her love was prisoner and her heart the prison.

His faded love faded with each second

And one fine day, he wanted the game to end.

Now, she knew the truth behind the sugar-coated lies

Anyone could see the rebellious spark in her eyes.

Her hate for love was deep and so was her pain

He asked for another chance, of course to play the game again.

She learned to say NO and made her mind clear

Lastly, he was still a gamer, but she became his biggest fear.
