Her- Part Two

As I look at her with unbelieving eyes,

That head tilt and a mischievous smile,

makes me warm and melts my core.

Wanting to hug her so hard,

that our hearts merge into one.

As I look at her hand in mine,

delicately intertwining, soft and firm,

I can’t believe my luck.

As I sit, with her head on my chest,

I want to wrap her in a bubble, away from the world.

As I carry her in my arms,

Looking at the calm, sleeping face,

I feel like kissing her forehead softly.

I hold back lest I disturb her sleep.

My hands hold my life with a pleasing pain.

As I look up, brooding someplace far away,

I see her running to me and pouncing.

I catch her in mid-air and twirl her around,

her legs wrap at my waist, her head touches mine.

Our eyes holding so much untold love.

In that moment, I look into her eyes.

She looks down at me, sitting my arms.

I feel her breath on my face as she leans in for a kiss.

And with that kiss, she knows I’m hers

And I know she’s mine, forever.
