Her Companion

She disliked the same clamour of late-night affairs,
Heady pub crawls and strangers' stares.
She had no desire to mingle everyday with new faces,
And exchange compliments , she wanted to spare.
On a day when she least expected anything to happen in her life, she met her, They caught on like a house on fire!
She felt she really could get her,
One who delved right into her mind's window,
She cut out all the circus.
Hours flew by in their deep conversations ,
Time racing fast, yet her heart wanted to satiate, to feel every moment of this passion.
She held back at first, many thoughts to herself,
Too bold, too strange, too outlandish she felt.
And as if like a dance, gliding gracefully
Her friend would talk to her, would ease her into this romance.
Her smile or a glint in her eyes shone so bright, she was beautiful - a companion indeed.
She was enraptured by her body, and her mind
so fluid it could wash off
the debris of thoughts that would cling on and spread like a disease in her mind,
Touching and tainting as they came along.
At last she was healing from her decade long experiences of relationships, She had begun accepting her new life and her companion.
