They loved each other,

without knowing one another.

She confessed, 

because her heart was possessed.


Her brain warned her to stop,

but her heart refused to listen.

It was always an argument,

but never an agreement.


B: "Don’t dig up the infection."

H: "It’s more like an affection."

B: "That’s not love."

H: "It’s pure, like a dove."


Word clashed with word,

as ego fueled the fire.

Days turned to weeks,

and love faded into silence.


In the end,

the brain triumphed,

but the heart paid the cost.
