Healing Hearts

As a doctor, I once viewed the world,

Through the lens of science, logic unfurled.

Feelings, mere hormones, I deemed them a game,

Just vessels of lust, devoid of true flame.

Trust was a whisper, lost in the rush,

A fleeting connection, mere physical thrust.

Then came the day, in the softest of light,

I encountered her, not love at first sight.

Yet time wove its magic, like vines intertwine,

Two souls finding solace, a bond so divine.

In the chaos of nights, with patients to attend,

We laboured together, as colleagues, as friends.

Through laughter and trials, a rhythm began,

A pulse in the silence, the beat of a plan.

Slowly we noticed, like stars in the dark,

Love softly knocked, igniting a spark.

Adrenaline surged as our eyes would align,

In that quiet moment, our hearts intertwined.

This joy that we cherish, we wish to sustain,

A treasure unspoken, a love without chain.

For now, we have learned, in this dance of fate,

Two doctors, united, in passion innate.

So let the world witness, let nature confide,

In the healing of hearts, where true love resides.

Together we nurture, through thick and through thin,

In each other’s embrace, a new life can begin.

For love, like a cure, grows stronger with time,

A symphony played, in harmony’s rhyme.

As we chart our course, in this journey we share,

Two hearts beat as one, in a world rich and rare.
