Oh, Hazel!

Face so bezel.

Why you got to go this early,

I have gone weary.

If only I could make you immortal,

But every living being is mortal.

Because I am no God,

You could be an image of God.

My mate, my companion;

This great union-

It was short- lived,

But it will be cherished.

Where we wandered,

You will be remembered.

Like a beautiful flower,

You are a wonder.

Go peacefully, my friend-

I will join you in the end.

For Sooner or later,

We will be once again together.
