Have a Plan B

When the chosen path gets blocked

When the crafted plan gets flopped

Don’t be lost or led astray

Plan B will guide you the way

Your vision, your ploy in hand

Laid with thought, your blueprint grand

But nature shifts and tides return

Fortune decides which way to turn

A driver navigates as the traffic leads

Adjusting pattern to changing needs

You cannot stick to a single lane

Detours compel you to shift and start again

A batsman reads the ball on the fly

Tweaks his shot to strike it high

One fixed plan won’t bring him victory

For not every ball repeats its history

When roads collapse and bridges bent

Lights fade and winds uncover alternate vent

A fallback stands to be a saving grace

Like a second key in a shadowed place

When the river is stopped by a stone

It carves its own path that is unknown

Foresight helps us rise when we fall

It opens a door when we face the wall
