Happy Birthday to Me

By Ridhima Bhagawati

Happy birthday to me

Sweetly sings the candle,

Loudly hoots the night owl,

And the figurines on the mantle.

Happy Birthday to me

Lightly chuckles the silence,

As I put on a show for the ghouls in the room,

And smile still, in defiance.
