Hallucinations

As I sit to read

Memories flood the pages

And with lightning speed

I travel across ages

I see you smile at me

And I start to cry

But a lie is all it’ll ever be

The tears never dry

Trauma flashes before my eyes

But I keep weeping

Sadness enough to fill the skies

I wish I was just sleeping

I try to hold your hand

But you don’t move a bit

Now I can’t understand

Except repeat the same skit
