Half In Love With Easeful Death
By Najmus Saqib
You know they said that you're my friend,
Not just a friend—my favorite coffee blend.
"If it's love you need, I'll give you my life"—
Perhaps I heard it wrong. Maybe the word was knife.
They gave me wounds disguised with care,
Fed on my trust—and still, they would dare.
They bloomed in light while I broke in soil,
Looped in the charms of a serpentine coil.
I yearned so fiercely and burned so bright—
The magic, the balm, the blaze that gave light.
They came with velvety wings, drawn to my fire—
Not in search of love—but to conspire.
I was in faith, so pure, in love subsumed,
A rare flower of trust had dared to bloom.
They became the pet I cosseted sweet—
I became the pet they bit—too deep.
Psyched-out scripts—all lies and deception,
A pretty little face veiling cruel intention.
The sacred word friend they wielded like a knife;
Each stab is a lie—draining the blood of life.

🔥 AMAZING 🔥
Reminds me of
Ye chaand asmaan ka shayar ka dil hai goya.
Wahan chandni hai jo kuch, yahaan dard ki kasak hai.
Great 👍
Lyrically tormenting; beautifully dismantling.
Absolute love 💕
