H(ollow)(appi)ness.

By Neeharika

You go home but no one's there to greet you and ask how your day was / you're buzzing with excitement but who do you even text? / who'd want to know the good news? / you try to convince yourself that none of that matters anyway because at least you have food to eat and strangers recognise you in every street seldom do we talk about the loneliness one experiences even when they have

everything at their fingertips / the defeat by their own success / you remind yourself that this is exactly what you wanted / what you selfishly gained even when it came at the cost of losing people close to you / you are at the top of the world but then why does your being feel so hollow? / why aren't you satisfied? / why do you feel like you're losing yourself? / why why why / humans don't die when they're at their happiest but you still feel like you are lying in a glass coffin and everyone's merely standing around with nobody paying attention to you.
