Grown-up

From eating from my mom's hands to buying my own meal

From dad dropping me everywhere to catching my own bus

From my sister helping me in every task to dealing with things myself for real

From my teachers guiding me always to taking responsibility without fuss

I saw my life go to a whole new phase, a new chapter, getting a level-up

At that moment, I realised I am not a child anymore. I have grown up

No more do I hold my parent's hands everywhere

No more am I scared to go somewhere alone

No more on falling down do I shed a tear

No more now do I shy away from any unknown

The kid me, on my own, was not ready to stand up

Now I have to, and I do because I have grown up

I have not on every silly jest, stopped cracking

I have not stopped enjoying little moments

I have not on my favourite candies stopped snacking

I have not stopped playing fun games with friendly opponents

In short, I have not stopped living life, I still live it up

I just have a fresh outlook, as now I have grown up
