Grim Reaper

People in groups, a group of friends

I feel like such an outsider

There are the ones who live

And then ones who watch like a bystander

It’s survival of the richest

The unique and the clichés

All the happy endings go where the green has been

But he doesn’t discriminate

Walks alongside everyone the same

Quite misunderstood, let me tell

Gives you company on your way to hell

He’s simply the messenger

Say thank you to the grim reaper

Lifeless bodies running faster than the hands of the clock

No, no, no it’s not the hustling I wish to mock

But every time I observe

And live up to my name

I feel like we deserve

To live better than this rigged game

I want to know the reason behind the bias

And a way to end these riots

Everything we have lost is such a shame

The human race is to blame

Betrayal is a thing we crave

Our backs are drawn to the knife

But he will keep my soul safe

Take me to the afterlife

Quite misunderstood, let me tell

Gives you company on your way to hell

He’s simply the messenger

Say thank you to the grim reaper
