Suddenly spring turned into summer then autumn,

soon winter will once again prevail the leaves.

But the painting has never felt so alive,

the horizons have now metamorphosed.

Suddenly the figure standing on the cliff

overlooking this aurora canvas has dissipated.

The seraphic gold pierces through

grey hues over the fields in spring.

What a blessing it is to finally release

the long forgotten skeletons in your closet.

The dust covered butterflies palpitating within

this ribcage can now transcend

the haunting from the midsummer.

Suddenly there is no longer a need to

scramble and fight to find the exit sign in a

cyclical labyrinth.

The castle walls that feel like tombs in the sand

now live like miniatures in mausoleums.

The salt that had created the streams

is now as still as the art.

The waves have returned to their rightful owner,

and though the tides reach the shore,

the ship has sailed past the brink of dusk.

Until dawn rises to hum in its iridescence,

the sacred language of discretion

forbids to be deciphered by the living.
