Gravity

Too good to be true means it usually is

I knew I was right to doubt

If not in you, then our circumstance

Seeing the cards fate has dealt out

Two weeks and maybe I would exist

Somewhere more than in periphery

Now a hurtling miscalculation

Blinded to what I claim to see

But gravity pulls

And two masses collide

Fated far before I arrived

Passed by as an anecdote

While eyeing the staggering sight

The whims of celestials

Will it go wrong or right

If I were kinder, I'd wish you well

If I were wiser, I wouldn't dwell

This simpleton selfishly wants for more

But it was never in my control
