Sunshine

Original Submission by Carter Logan

Golden rays spilling on my back,

Turned red as blood

By a warmth;

Gone with the sun.

Rays of blood spill over the field,

A field of pain and Death,

Here he stands

Scythe in hand,

Full with violent souls.

Mourning arises with a golden sun,

Forgotten is the past,

No; forever shining on my heart.

Sunshine never grieves,

But is always a witness to pain.
