girlhood is a beast

it held me in its jaw,

jerking its head

from side to side

to make sure I wouldn’t slip.

Blood streaked legs, groaning

The curve of my hips, growing,

snatching on to its jaw.

Fusing bone to bone.

Hip to jaw.

Eyes burning into my breasts, one eye for each.

I’ve lost track

I am to look

or be looked at

I am in it’s jaws.

I am the jaws.

Anger and confusion handed to me

a poison,

to wield as a weapon,

something for me

to consume

to cast out

to poison

You

Hungry, howling, horny

Let me go, let me out of your gaze

I’ve been

The prey

The pawn

The porn

It’s jaws shut tight

To be a girl, is to know how to fight
